Implementation of dragging pipes projects and distribution in the areas of competence of the Water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. 


To improve the distribution of drinking water to customers in areas under its jurisdiction, and pursuant to the Business Plan from 2010 to 2014, the water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon awarded contracts for the execution of dragging lines and distribution and the creation of reservoirs and pumping stations, drilling wells and equipping the same in many sectors as follows in 2012:

a-Project to establish a collection tank and lifting station to serve the area Zaarour with potable water. 
The Board of Directors approved the implementation of lifting stations and a collection tank to serve the area Zaarour with potable water by virtue of its Resolution No. 112 dated 25 / 04 / 2013 the contractor received an order to start works on 03 / 06 / 2013, works will be completed in March 2013 and include the establishment of the collecting tank and lifting stations and the implementation of new extensions of iron cast pipes - 10 500 meters approximately. 

b- Project of execution of pipelines in Aley and surrounding area. 
The Board of Directors approved the implementation of the lines in the areas of Mousbeh Zouk, Zouk Mikael and Adonis - Keserwan under Resolution No. 130 of 18 / 05 / 2013, the contractor received the order to start works on 13 / 06 / 2013, and the latter must be completed in September 2014 and are expected to make 100,000 persons benefit. The work includes the implementation of new extensions in Aley, Ain Anub, Ain El Jdideh, Itat, Baalechmay, Chamlan, Kaifoun, Souk El Gharb, including the supply and installation of ductile cast iron  and polyethylene pipes diameters ranging between 11/2 "to 16" for about  95.600 meters, with the implementation of new connections to subscribers. 

c-  project of executing dragging pipeline of the water of Chabrouh from Kfardebian to Baskinta Metn. 
To pull water from the dam of Chabrouh in the Metn, the Board of Directors approved the continuation of installation of a dragging pipeline from Kfardebian to Biskinta Metn by virtue of the Resolution No. 131 dated 18 / 05 / 2013 . 
The project involves the continuation of new extensions in areas extending between Kfardebian Keserwan and Metn Baskinta, including the supply and installation of iron cast piping and iron - diameters 16 "and 24" long about 7490 meters. This is the first phase of the project of dragging water from the dam of Chabrouh to tanks in Dhour Choueir and Bahanes. 

* Total number of towns and villages in which the Water Board of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, maintained and renewed the existing network and extended new networks in 2013 was about 20 cities for a total length of networks of 113,590 meters approximately.
